Moondog Labs develops tools for independent filmmakers. Labs is the brainchild of Moondog Optics founder Scott Cahall and his former Kodak colleague, Julie Gerstenberger. Its first product was something that’s never been done before – an anamorphic adapter designed specifically for the iPhone. This lens has been used by filmmakers to shoot feature films appearing the Sundance Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, and South by Southwest. Since its founding in late 2013, Moondog Labs offerings have grown to over 20 unique products. Although it operates as an independent company, its product development is supported by the Moondog Optics team.
